WPPDC Broadband Projects
West Piedmont PDC was awarded Virginia Telecommunicaitons Initiative grant funds in late 2021 for three separate projects. These projects, designed to provide near-universal broadband coverage, will ensure our region is positioned for success in economic development, education, and healthcare. WPPDC is partnering with two internet service providers to construct these projects, RiverStreet Networks and Spectrum. While these projects will take months to years to complete, residents can find details on the status of each project using the links below.
WPPDC East Project
Project is partership between WPPDC, RiverStreet Networks, and Amelia, Bedford, Campbell, Charlotte, Nottoway, and Pittsylvania counties. This project is now underway!
WPPDC West Project
Project is partership between WPPDC, RiverStreet Networks, and Franklin, Henry, and Patrick counties.
WPPDC Patrick Project
Project is partership between WPPDC, Spectrum, and Patrick County. This project is now underway!
