Transportation Funding Programs

Many planning professionals are often familiar with often-used grant programs such as Virginia’s Smart Scale program.  While Smart Scale remains a popular and highly sought-after funding mechanism in the Commonwealth, numerous other programs are available for use by localities and regional organizations.  Many of these are listed below and include the Transportation Alternatives program, Revenue Sharing, and others.
