The Danville Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) proposes to adopt an amendment to the MPO’s 2024 – 2027 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) at its next Policy Board meeting, scheduled March 18, 2026 at 5:30 PM, and requests public input.  This amendment is a federally mandated requirement (49 U.S.C. § 5303 (j)) for MPOs; the TIP lists all transportation projects in the MPO region scheduled to receive federal transportation funding over a four-year time period; the current TIP is for Fiscal Years (FY) 2024 – 2027, inclusive.

A 30-day public comment period is open until March 18, 2026 at 5;30 PM, during which the public is encouraged to submit comments, either electronically via email, in writing, or verbally via the next MPO Policy Board meeting (to be held virtually) on the date above which indicates the closure of the comment period.  The FY 2024 – 2027 TIP amendment may be viewed by clicking here or by contacting the Danville MPO/WPPDC at (276) 638-3987 or danvillempo@wppdc.org.  Any person without Internet access and who desires to review the proposed draft FY 2024 – 2027 TIP Amendment will be provided a copy via mail or fax.
