You are cordially invited to attend a public meeting held by the West Piedmont Planning District Commission (WPPDC) on Tuesday, May 14th to discuss the Preservation & Reinvestment Initiative for Community Enhancement (PRICE) grant. The grant is worth $225 million and is intended for the preservation and revitalization of manufactured housing and eligible manufactured housing communities.

The meeting will provide an overview of the grant and how it can benefit our communities of Franklin County, Henry County, Patrick County, Pittsylvania County, City of Danville, City of Martinsville, and the Town of Rocky Mount, including the $25 million reserved for the PRICE Pilot program and $200 million reserved for PRICE Main funding. The WPPDC will be applying for PRICE Main funds. 

The goal of WPPDC applying for this grant is to improve the living conditions of manufactured home communities and individual manufactured homes within these communities. Some of the plans include paving unpaved, gravel, cracked, dirt or dilapidated roads, rehabilitating individual homes, and undertaking other infrastructure upgrades and repairs such as well systems upgrades and repairs, septic systems upgrades and repairs, sidewalk and curb repairs, and lighting and safety upgrades and repairs.
